Animal Referral Centre (ARC)
The veterinary specialist centre in Albany provides advanced surgical and medical care around the clock, 7 days a week. ARC contracted Designzone to transform their entrance and waiting areas. Being CFC Certified ‘Cat Friendly Clinic’, the clinic had sufficient space to allow for separate Cat and Dog entrances and waiting areas. The two entrances lead to a main reception counter, keeping the cats and dogs in their own areas, less chance of seeing eac hother so less stress.
The entrance was transformed from an unused freezer space to a bright and welcoming area for animals and humans. Using the architectural designed counter, we added to the design bringing texture and colour to the white counter. Installation of timber slats over the reception counter tie the two spaces together with lighting aesthetics. Custom designed seating and coffee tables compliment both spaces creating warm and calming waiting areas for both cats and dogs.
